Statement of Work INTENT TO PURCHASE CCTV Upgrade for Sewer Inspection Trailer.
Introduction The USDA-NRCS Iowa State Office is needing to update an existing Long-Range CCTV Pipe Inspection Crawler R.S. Technical Services, Inc. TrakSTAR model or Equal.
Current Conditions & Equipment USDA-NRCS uses an existing Long-Range CCTV Pipe Inspection System to inspect corrugated metal pipe and precast concrete conduit pipes that are a part of an earthen dam pond. Pipe diameters range from 8 inch to 60 inch, with lengths of 100 feet to 300 feet long. Pipe inspection conditions include trickle flow with algae lining the bottom of the pipe.
We are not always able to drive the trailer to the entry point of the pipe, so we currently use a 500 feet cable to reach the entry point of the pipe. The cable is also used to retrieve the camera from the pipe. Our current system was purchased approx.
15 years ago. Its recording system is Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) format. The current camera, transport, and office electronics (including computer) are to be replaced.
Equipment must be installed in an existing 6’x14’ covered utility trailer. The trailer has two (2) rooms; an office and a utility room. The utility room has a work bench, RST Mainline camera with wheel kits and track kits, and RST Mainline Reel with Sincon cable. The office has the CCTV camera (RST Omni), controller (RST 20-2000), recording equipment VCR. The trailer is equipped with an Onan gen-set generator HGJAE 7000 watt, DC power system, and AC electrical system.
Items to Upgrade USDA-NRCS requires new parts and equipment as a part of the upgrade. Installation must be performed by the manufacturer or an approved contractor recommended by the manufacturer. Transportation to the installer is required by the installer if the installer is over 150 miles from Newton, IA.
