Penalty for Not Meeting AQL
Foliar spray (also includes any basal bark application as well)
At least 95 % of targeted NNIS vegetation treated; and with no more than 10 % inadvertent treatment to non-target vegetation, or values specified on Task Order.
Minimum of 95 % of targeted vegetation treated; and no more than 10 % inadvertent treatment to non-target vegetation, or values specified in Task Order.
Visual inspections by COR or COI of random locations or transect or the entire area if possible performed 30 days after application.
Contractors not meeting the minimum 95% treatment rate at the final inspection of treated vegetation will be required to reapply herbicide at their expense.

If a 95% treatment rate is not achieved after the 2nd application, a 2% reduction will be made in the award price and the government may require a third herbicide application at the contractor’s expense.

If there is more than 10 % inadvertent treatment to non-target vegetation, or more than specified in Task Order, a 2% reduction will be made in the award price.
