Texas Falls Trail Bridge Reconstruction

Amendment No. 2

Pre-Proposal Meeting, March 31, 2010

Q: Can you access the other side of the brook?

A: Access to the bridge site will be from the Town Road (Texas Falls Road). Use of this road shall be coordinated with the Town of Hancock.

Q: Who will acquire the stream alterations permit?

A: The Forest Service will acquire the stream alterations permit if one is needed.

Q: What are weight limit restrictions on the road?

A: The Contractor will need to coordinate over-weight permit needs with the Town of

Hancock.

Q: What are the clearing limits and how will the timber and slash be disposed?

A: The clearing limits shall be the minimal amount of clearing that is needed to access the site with equipment and to install the bridge components. Limits shall be marked and approved by the FS COR prior to starting. Any tree over 6” that needs to be removed will be approved by the FS prior to removal. All timber and slash shall be removed from the site

Q: How is damage to the existing trail or road to be dealt with?

A: It is the contractor’s responsibility to restore any damage to the trail, road, or surrounding area to its previous condition upon completion of the project.
