Questions/Answers from Aluminum Box Culvert Sawmill Trail Site Showing 7/14/2016

1. Where can the construction organic slash be disposed of?

Debris will be placed ¾ of a mile before the project site along FDR 615. Any brush or logs will be placed along the edge of the small opening. If needed for dirt, it will need to be spread flat with equipment before leaving the project – The Forest Service will seed and mulch the area upon completion. See Map for location.

1. There was a tree recently cut out of the road on FSR 90; it is still impacting the roadway. Can it be completely cleared out of the way?

The Forest Service will remove the tree.

1. Who will acquire permit?

The Forest Service will acquire the permit.

1. Are there Trout restrictions for the creek?

No, there are no restrictions.

1. Will the contractor be able to close the road while working?

Yes the road can be closed.

1. Borrow pit location. Contractors thought that there may not be sufficient material at the previously identified borrow location and that it would be cost prohibitive to haul material from the identified site down to the Sawmill culvert project site. There is an obviously disturbed historic borrow site adjacent to the Sawmill project site. Can this site be used for borrow?

Yes, this area has been approved as a borrow location.
