7. Determination of Fair and Reasonable Cost. The Contracting Officer has determined the price to be fair and reasonable based on the comparison of the price list which is offered to all companies wanting to buy this service. We are receiving a discount off the standard price list for the filament and the ion pump element costs.
8. Market Survey. A Market Survey was not conducted because MA TECH SERVICES, INC. purchased all the rights and drawings for manufacturing of parts for the MGA 1200 from GE Medical Systems in 2003. The MA TECH has service engineers that have well over fifty years of combined experience working as factory Field Service Engineers for The Perkin-Elmer Corporation and other instrumentation companies. MA TECH SERVICES, Inc. not only provides expert field service but also has a fully equipped electronic/mass spectrometer repair shop that enables them to completely service/refurbish our mass spectrometer. The MGA 1200 Industrial Gas Analyzers are fixed collector, magnetic sector mass spectrometers designed for monitoring real-time analysis of multi-gases. The MGA 1200 Multi Gas Analyzers are intend for use as on-line process monitors and or research instrumentation in a wide variety of uses.
9. Additional Support. This is a follow-on acquisition to an annual sole- sourced requirement with MA Tech Services, Inc.
