Hitachi has been servicing these microscopes for the last 30 years and is the only source for the parts needed to maintain operations. Both of the microscopes are made by Hitachi and we know of no other company that performs preventative maintenance or repairs on either of them. These machines are mission critical to provide support for pathology research.
