/ Hinge cut all hardwood trees less than 6" DBH and with crowns 2/3 or more the height of the nearest leave tree. All hardwoods within 20 feet of stream courses are designated as leave trees.

/ Contractor shall leave a 20 foot uncut buffer strip along running streams, as measured from edge of water.

/ Roads designated on the project area maps as driveable (open): Contractor shall leave a 20 foot uncut buffer strip as measured from the ditchline, and shall pull-back all slash from the roadbed, ditches, and from the top of the cutbank and road ditches.

/ Roads designated on the project area maps as undriveable (closed): Contractor shall pull-back all slash from the roadbed, ditches, and from between the top of the cutbank and road ditches.

/ Crop Trees should have >= 40% Live Crown Ratio, be of good form and single stemmed; maintaining a “similar to existing” species mix throughout all units; if a Crop Tree has Bear Damage or is suffering from White Pine Blister Rust, leave an extra tree.

/ Trees over 6" may be girdled. All girdled trees that, if felled, could reach the road MUST be felled.

/ Space off of trees up to 8" DBH, *nothing larger. Cut WH, PSF, DF, RA
