1011:

Sisters Ranger District Administrative Site info presentation by Jeff Simms.

Admin site is within urban growth boundary of Sisters, OR.
Sale process would allow the Forest Service to retain receipts.

This is the second broker contract by the Forest Service. It was felt that given the complexities of the sale utilizing a broker would bring the best results for the agency.

Description of site via maps.

Sisters RD Administrative Site = 80 acre parcel

14 acres (off Barclay Drive) to be withheld from sale as location of new Admin Site.
Overall sale 66 +/- acres.

Partition Survey info (last surveyed in 2008).

Site history:

2003 – plan to stay in Sisters, but goal to shrink footprint.

2008 – attempt to auction site via GSA failure due to status of US economy.

Overview of site facilities.

Why desire to change, move to new site?
Administrative needs have changed.
Budgetary reduction in maintenance and operating costs.
Buildings/structures at the end of/past their useful life do not meet code.
Continued growth & expansion of the City of Sisters.
*Congressional “Pilot Conveyance Authority”*

ANSWER (Jeff Simms): “Stays with us.”

ANSWER (Jeff Simms): Yes.

QUESTION (Robert Raimondi): Approval/sale flow time?

ANSWER (Jeff Simms): Suggests meeting with the City Planner. No specified preference, cannot speak to City’s needs.

ANSWER (Peggy Fisher): This was done prior to roundabout – you will need to check with City as to plans.
