Meta Lake Well Deepening 1 Measurement and Payment
Section 012200
SECTION 012200
MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
1. PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 DESCRIPTION
A. This Section specifies measurement and payment for the work of this contract.
1.02 GENERAL
A. The basis for measurement and payment for all work performed under this contract shall be in accordance with the Schedule of Items (Section B). In the event of a conflict Section B shall prevail over this Section (012200).
B. Payment shall be made at the contract prices listed in the Schedule of Items.
1.03 INCIDENTAL WORK
A. Work to be performed which is not specifically called out to be measured and/or paid for shall be incidental to other related items listed in the Schedule of Items.
There will be no separate measurement and payment for any work not specifically listed in the Schedule of Items.
B. The summation of all bid items under the Schedule of Items shall equal all work required by the Drawings, Specifications and incidentals to complete a functioning job regardless of whether all the work needed is described in the collective bid items.
1.04 PRICES FOR THE COMPLETE ITEM
A. The prices listed in the Schedule of Items shall be payment in full for all labor, tools, equipment, materials, etc., which are required to construct respective bid items according to the Contract Documents, including all work and materials for a fully functioning item.
1.05 UNIT PRICES
A. Bid items calling for unit prices show estimated quantities of work to be performed.
These quantities, although shown with as much accuracy as possible, are approximate only and are for bidding purposes only. Payment to the Contractor shall be made on the quantity of work actually performed by the Contractor. Also see variation in quantities FAR clause elsewhere in this contract.
1.06 PARTIAL PAYMENT ON UNIT AND LUMP SUM ITEMS
A. Payment for unit bid items and lump sum bid items only partially completed at the end of monthly invoice periods shall be based on a percentage of work completed as determined by the Contracting Officer. The actual payment for each bid item will reflect the actual amount of work completed.
Measurement for Lump Sum items is by the Job as you have it. But, Measurement for non lump sum items is not of the job. It is instead by the actual quantity such as
“actual quantity of linear feet well casing installed”.
1.07 BID ITEM 1 – MOBILIZATION
A. Measurement
Meta Lake Well Deepening 2 Measurement and Payment
1. When the partial payment estimate of the amount earned to date, not including the amount earned for mobilization, is 5 percent or more of the original total contract amount, 50 percent of the contract bid price for mobilization or 5 percent of the original total contract amount, whichever is the lesser, will be included in the estimate for payment on mobilization.
2. When the partial payment estimate of the amount earned to date, not including the amount earned for mobilization, is 10 percent or more of the original total contract amount, 100 percent of the contract bid price for mobilization or 10 percent of the original total contract amount, whichever is the lesser, will be included in the estimate for payment on mobilization.
3. Upon completion of all the work on the project and acceptance by the
Government, payment of 100 percent of the contract bid price for mobilization will be included in the estimate for payment on mobilization.
B. Payment
1. Payment will be considered full compensation for all work preparatory to the start of work including premiums paid by the Contractor to obtain bonds and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site and for all other work and operations that must be performed or that cause costs to be incurred prior to beginning work on the various items at the project site.
