Solicitation AG-0489-S-10-0153 Malheur N.F. Asphalt Paving – Roads 17, 31, 3745, and 47

Amendment 1

The following revisions are incorporated into this amendment:

1. Add the 3 following pages to the specifications and add page 1 and 2 of the attached exhibits.

These pages add specifications for a government rock source which may be used for the asphalt.

If the contractor opts to use this rock source, the cost of the pit development will be incidental to the asphalt pay item.

2. Pages 3-6 of the attached exhibits are added to show the location of the water source for each road.

3. Replace Clause F.2, Commencement, Prosecution and Completion of Work, with the following:

F.2 FAR 52.211-10 Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (APR 1984)

The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within __10__ calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than __60___ calendar days.

The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Work is estimated to begin on July 1, 2010.

If the contractor opts to use the government rock source, a notice to proceed may be issued for pit development and rock crushing on approximately June 1, 2010. The total time for this project would then be 90 calendar days, however the time for work not associated with pit development and rock crushing would remain 60 calendar days. Should the contractor opt to use the government source, two separate notices to proceed would be issued; one for the pit development and rock crushing, and one for the remaining work.
