SECTION C--DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK

SCOPE OF CONTRACT

This contract requires Portable Toilet Rental/Pumping Services and related work in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals.

LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION

Mt. Hood National Forest, Zigzag Ranger District.

1. Servicing one toilet weekly for one month (4 weeks).

2. Any delivery and pick up charges per toilet or lump sum for multiple deliveries.

3. Trash pick-up per month (4 weeks). Please note this item is Optional and if you opt not to bid on this item then you will still be eligible to be awarded the remainder of the services.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

1. Install fifteen porta-potties at twelve different locations on the Zigzag Ranger District. Mileage chart provided on second page along with a map of the locations.

2. All porta-potty locations must have one ADA accessible toilet with the exception of the following sites: Top Spur, Paradise Park, Glacier Butte and Frenches Dome; these four locations can only accommodate a standard size Porta-Potty.

3. Install the porta-potties as early as May 15th, but no later than the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend provided the site is free of snow. Installation for a couple of the higher elevation sites may not be possible until mid-June.

4. Clean and pump the porta-potty once a week on either Monday or Tuesday, but no later than

Tuesday of each week due to heavy weekend use.

5. Porta-Potties should be a neutral color to blend in with the environment and all locking mechanisms, door and other hardware must be functioning properly.

6. Porta-Potties will be maintained as needed to ensure good operational function, maintenance upkeep and to remove graffiti or correct vandalism that may occur through the season.

7. Porta-Potties must be set on a flat solid surface and anchored in a way that will make them stable and resistant to tipping. Porta-potty locations are along roads and in relatively flat road-side terrain at trailheads.

8. Removal of all Porta Potties by September 30, 2015.

9. OPTIONAL BID ITEM: Please note this item is Optional and if you opt not to bid on this item then you will still be eligible to be awarded the remainder of the services.

Additionally, provide a bid for picking up any trash within 10 feet of a can. You should be able to collect the bags of trash at 2 to 4 trailheads and then drive by the Zigzag Ranger District office, located near Hwy 26 and Lolo Pass Road, to dispose of them in the dumpster.

Trash Disposal Route Example:

After driving to Old Salmon River 1&2 trailheads to service the toilets and collect the bags of trash, you would then continue on to service the main Salmon River trailhead at the end of the road. On your way to back and before servicing the Lolo Pass trailheads, stop by the Zigzag Ranger District office and drop off the bags of trash by placing them in dumpsters.

Next, service the 4 trailheads up Lolo Pass, come by the district office on your way to Hwy 26, drop off the bags of trash, and continue on to the 5 trailheads up Hwy 26 near Government Camp. Any trash bags collected from Hwy 26 can then be dropped off at the Zigzag dumpster as you work your way back towards Sandy. After each trash can is emptied, it will be necessary to replace the garbage bag liner in each of the cans. Trash can bags and a dumpster for disposal will be provided.
