Recommended Prescribed Treatment

Habitat Type Group(s): C/G (MC II) Target Stand: Reduce stocking and ladder fuels by thinning from below to an average of 80 ft²/acre or less.

Treatment Specifications

To achieve this objective use the following specifications :

Fell all LPP less than 7” DBH, and all WL less than 7” DBH that are infested with Dwarf Mistletoe.

For a 25’ radius around all PP 14” DBH and greater, and all WL 20” and greater fell all DF 12” DBH and less, all LPP, PP and WL less than 10”DBH.

Thin the remaining stems, which that are less than 7” DBH, on an approximate 17 x 17 ft spacing with a minimum 10’ between leave trees, strongly favoring PP, with mistletoe-free WL next, and DF last.
Buck all stems into 12’ or smaller lengths.

Riparian Areas : None noted.

sensitive/threatened species sites noted. Leave all dead snags for wildlife species(nesting cavities, roost, etc.).

Other Instructions: Keep road 7941 + B free of slash. Hand piling of all slash is required, see for specifiations. Thinning will take place at a time agreed upon by the COR and District Silviculturist due to Mountian Pine Beetle and camping issues.
