Under “GENERAL NOTES:”, add the following new Note 6:

“6. The Stanley Lake Trailhead Parking Lot is available for use in storing equipment and materials for the project construction, at the location and size as approved by the Contracting Officer. Equipment and materials shall be properly secured during construction, including weekends, to ensure safety and protection of trail users.”

Pre-Bid Meeting Questions/Answers

Q: Is camping allow on-site?

A: See Amendment.

Q: Can equipment and materials be staged in the Trailhead parking lot?

A: See Amendment.

Q: The quantities for riprap seem low based on the work.

A: The riprap quantities noted in the Schedule of Items reflect only the riprap required for constructing culvert headwall end protection. Riprap required for construction of new turnpikes and reconstruction of existing turnpikes is incidental to those respective bid items. This is the same for all other work/materials required under these work items. Pointed to the measurement and payment sections for the riprap, crushed surfacing, geotextile fabric, geocell, excavation, and other pertinent sections.

Q: Is erosion control required for this project?

A: Yes. Pointed to Section 157 of the Special Provisions.

Q: What geocell product did we have in mind during the project design?

A: Pointed to Section 730 of the Special Provisions. Physical requirements are provided, so as long as the geocell meets these requirements, it should be an approved equal.

Q: What are the compaction requirements for this project?

A: Pointed to Section 301.05 of the Special Provisions.
