REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION
A question was posed regarding what should be priced for doing HSI work on the PT6A engines.
Following is the Forest Service’s response:
Pricing for Hot Section Inspections (HSI) shall include the following:
-Bench Work at the vendor’s facility after the components have been shipped in from the field.
-Re-installation work and approval for return to service of the aircraft by the vendor technican.
The Transport of re-worked components and the incidental travel of the technician to the aircraft location will be paid via CLINS 0026 and 0027.
The following is also noted: If the Forest Service would need the vendor to remove engine components on-site, this additional effort will be funded via the CLINS for labor and travel on the individual task order. The task order will be issued once the vendor and the Forest Service have negotiated the required labor hours and travel cost to the aircraft location.
