About this file

This document is a listing of 2025-2026 Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Areas of Interest, which identifies capability requirements and operational focus areas for potential solicitations and contracting opportunities.

AFSOC seeks solutions across 26 designated areas spanning air mobility, strike operations, communications, surveillance, and personnel support. Key operational focus areas include Independent SOF Air Mobility and Airstrike for resilient medium-lift and long-range operations in non-permissive environments; Global Sensing Enterprise for enhanced airborne tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) with extended endurance and payload capacity; and Runway Independent Air Mobility and Strike Operations for high-speed, vertical takeoff and landing (HSVTOL) capabilities in contested environments. Additional areas of interest encompass mission-critical support functions: Common Ops Picture/Common Intel Picture for real-time battle space awareness through data fusion; Mission Networking and Tactical Mission Joint Force Comms Network for resilient multi-node connectivity; Collaborative, Autonomous Threat and Target Identification for reconnaissance in denied environments; and Complex Targeting for engaging obscured and fast-moving targets. Personnel-focused capabilities include Force Health Protection with ruggedized diagnostics equipment, Battlefield Trauma Care for medical support, Personnel Protective Equipment, and Human System Integration for life-cycle management. The document also identifies requirements for Low Visibility Communications, Cybersecurity Monitoring, Forward-Deployed CBRN Decontamination, Position Navigation and Timing precision, Full-Spectrum Threat Warning and Countermeasures, and Operational Preparation of the Environment training. This areas of interest list establishes the foundation for future AFSOC contract opportunities across fiscal years 2025-2026.
