This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDBD) regarding the fabrication, qualification, and production of Suspension Underwing Unit - 72 (SUU-72) pylon ejector fittings.
The RFI seeks information from industry partners capable of manufacturing the necessary jigs/tooling, fabricating the ejector fittings, and completing qualification testing. The scope of work includes building qualification samples, performing qualification tests, and delivering four fittings for first article inspection and fit checks, followed by the production of approximately 100 ejector fittings. The Government does not have the drawings for the forging dies. Interested parties are requested to provide information on their capabilities, experience, schedule, level of effort, and interest in participating as a prime or subcontractor. The Government may or may not use the responses as a basis for a future procurement. Responses are due by 4:00 PM CST on October 14, 2024, and questions must be submitted by September 16, 2024.
