About this file

This document is a Packaging Requirements report for a federal contract opportunity. The report details the packaging requirements for several items, including the type of wood packaging material (WPM) that must be used, heat treatment requirements, and certification/marking requirements.

The report states that all wooden lumber, pallets, and containers produced entirely or in part of WPM must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes. Certification and marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) is required. The report references the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 15 for further documentation. Specific packaging requirements are provided for three items, including preservation level, packaging level, and unit pack details. Additional supplemental packaging and marking instructions are also included.
