About this file

This document is an Air Force Material Command (AFMC) Form 158 detailing Packaging Requirements for two specific items (1560016213427FX and 1560016211723FX) under Purchase Instrument Number FD20602600039-00. The packaging instructions mandate compliance with MIL-STD-129 (Revision R) and MIL-STD-2073-1 (Revision E), with specific requirements for wood packaging material (WPM) to prevent invasive species transmission. All wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, with certification by an agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee.

The document provides detailed vendor packaging instructions, requiring items to be packaged according to military standards, with shipping containers marked per MIL-STD-129 and potentially including additional markings like unit serial numbers or original equipment manufacturer details. When shipping containers meet AFMC Form 158 requirements and are suitable for return shipment, they shall be reclaimed and reused; unserviceable containers must be replaced by the contractor. The packaging specialist for this document is Michael B. Raines from the 406 SCMS/GULAA organization, with contact information of 478-327-6318, and the document was generated on 19 November 2025.
