About this file

This is a Packaging Requirements document (AFMC Form 158) for federal contract FD20302600557-00. The document specifies military packaging and marking standards for a single item (2915012240753NZ) that must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1 (Revision E) for military packaging and MIL-STD-129 (Revision R) for military marking.

All wood packaging material (WPM)—including wooden pallets, skids, boxes, crates, dunnage, and frames—must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for a minimum of 30 minutes to prevent the spread of invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. Certification and marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) is required, with reference to International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No. 15). The item requires MIL Long Line Packaging at Preservation Level MIL and Packaging Level B. Unit pack specifications include a weight of 3.10 pounds, dimensions of 6.3" x 6.3" x 10.5", and a cube of 0.241. Shipping containers must be marked per MIL-STD-129 and may require additional marking such as unit serial numbers, OEM names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. The packaging requirements were established by Richard R. Davis, Packaging Specialist at 406 SCMS/GULAA, on February 6, 2026.
