About this file
This document contains questions from the Navy regarding depot-level repair of the AE2100 aircraft engine as well as details of an upcoming industry day teleconference for repair of the KC-130J aircraft engine.
The Navy's questions seek industry feedback on the feasibility of a 100-day turnaround time for AE2100 engine repair, impacts of COVID-19 on productivity and supply chains, capability to repair quick engine change kits, public-private partnerships for AE2100 repair, quality control processes, quality escapes over the past five years, potential reliability and performance improvement initiatives, and strategies for continued support amid COVID-19 impacts. The document also inquires about industry's counterfeit parts surveillance and supply chain risk management processes for the AE2100 engine.
The industry day teleconference will provide an opportunity for the Navy to review its draft performance work statement and engage with industry regarding requirements for depot-level repair of the KC-130J aircraft engine. Interested parties must register by 28 October 2020 to receive dial-in details for the 29 October 2020 event, with individual meetings available upon request.
