About this file

This document is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for the RENOVATE RENAISSANCE HOMES REROOF AND WINDOW REPLACEMENT project. The project involves the installation of a new screw down roof system over the existing roof on 12 buildings and the provision and installation of new windows in 3 buildings located at the Northeast Florida State Hospital in MacClenny, Florida. The addendum provides updates to the timeline, including a mandatory pre-bid conference on May 23, 2024, an optional pre-bid conference on July 17, 2024, and the bid response due date of July 25, 2024. The anticipated contract effective date is September 1, 2024, with the contract term being one year.

The addendum also addresses several vendor questions, including the ability to bid on just the window portion of the project, the project budget, subcontracting allowances, and window frame color. The Department has approved a substitution request for Pella Impervia Series fiberglass composite windows, provided they meet or exceed the specified performance requirements. The addendum does not provide any information on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or other financial details.
