About this file
This document outlines the Additional Terms and Conditions for a contract opportunity issued by the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) for laundry bags. The contract will be awarded on an "all or none" basis to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, with the unit of measure being "case". Suppliers are required to provide unit pricing and a part number, and must bid the specified unit of measure or risk rejection. The contract period is 12 months with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods. ADOC will place orders on an "as needed" basis for locations across the state's 67 counties, with no guarantee of any minimum order quantity. Deliveries must be made between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm Central Time, with the vendor responsible for unloading at the ADOC facility.
Pricing must be inclusive of all freight charges, and suppliers awarded the contract must accept multiple forms of electronic payment at no additional cost to the state. The contract is subject to non-appropriation of funds, and any additional information requested from a vendor must be provided within five days. Vendors who default on the contract may be subject to suspension or debarment, and will be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the state in procuring the goods from other sources.
