About this file
This is an additional information document supplementing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for fresh eggs and dairy products for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Cumberland in Cumberland, Maryland for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026. The solicitation seeks weekly deliveries of fresh eggs and dairy products from April 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026, with the Food Services Administrator contacting vendors weekly to specify required quantities. All quotes must be submitted by March 9, 2026 at 4:00 PM on the Unison Marketplace platform, and awards will be made on a best value basis considering price, past performance, and specification compliance.
The government reserves the right to award on an all-or-none basis and all items must be delivered FOB Destination. Any items not delivered by the required date will be cancelled and funds de-obligated, with non-delivery reflected in future past performance evaluations. The government has previously denied awards to vendors with delivery problems due to the critical impact on meal planning, preparation, and procurement costs. All shipping and restocking fees resulting from non-delivery are the vendor's responsibility. Interested vendors should direct specification questions to Travis Schneider, Food Services Administrator, at tschneider@bop.gov.
