ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
To Prospective Bidders of the Freezer/Cooler Solicitation
(Redwood Valley, CA)
1. Is this unit outside?
Yes.
2. Is an insulated floor required for both units?
Yes.
3. Is the unit on an existing concrete slab or do we have to pour a slab?
No need to pour the slab. The requester will be responsible for installing the slab.
4. Is access to the walk-in freezer through the walk-in cooler?
No, it should have separate outside doors.
5. It specifies self-contained refrigerant charge on the units. Are these through the wall modules or split systems being specified?
Ideal system has evaporator on the inside and condensing units on the roof. So technically split systems.
6. Is the outdoor ambient temperature 95 or 105 degrees F?
The outside ambient temperature can be up to 115 degrees F depending on the kind of summer we have.
7. Is the electrical provided?
Yes, the requester will provide the electrical panel.
This document is to address questions received for the freezer/cooler unit from the previous solicitation that was canceled.
8. Can we walk the job site?
Yes.
9 A conventional cooler/freezer box is manufactured with individual panels typically 47 inches wide by desired height till achieving overall desired dimensions. Box is then assembled at jobsite. in this case your requester needs a cooler/freezer 'box" manufactured as one entire piece to spec's.
With refrigeration being 'self-contained' pre-charged installed onto respective cooler and freezer. Am I correct with this interpretation?
We believe the interpretation is correct if you're saying the requester desires the box in one piece and fully assembled with the systems installed, charged, and tested before delivered/installed. The first sentence is confusing as we're less familiar with the conventional panel assembly at the job site option.
