About this file

This is Addendum #1 to the original plans and specifications for the University Boulevard Gateway Signage project (OSE# R0326-08X/DEL) issued by South Dakota State University's Facilities and Services division on November 7, 2025. The addendum modifies bid submission procedures and clarifies scope of work requirements for the gateway signage project. Bidders must acknowledge this addendum on their bid form, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid rejection. The bid opening date is November 20, 2025, and for any bid modifications, submittals, or project inquiries made after 5:00 p.m. Central Time on November 19, 2025, bidders should contact reed.leibel@sdstate.edu or call 605-688-5020.

The addendum clarifies five key project elements: the contractor is not responsible for site restoration or landscaping work around the gateway sign; the contractor must install electrical conduit meeting applicable ANSI standards inside the masonry gateway sign to accommodate both contractor-provided lighted panel and owner-provided lighted ornament; the lighted panel sign must be fabricated from one solid piece of aluminum with no vertical seams in the panel face; and an acceptable alternative stone material has been identified as "U.S. Stone, Onaga, (Honed)" in addition to the originally specified "Mankato-Kasota, Cream Veine (Polished)." These clarifications and revisions take precedence over conflicting items in the original contract documents.
