ADDENDUM #1

TO THE

INVITATION TO BID

PW1514-24 - CONSTRUCTION OF BROWN'S ISLAND BRIDGE

ISSUED ON 3/6/2024 8:00:00 AM

The following information in this addendum, hereby become part of the Invitation To Bid. It is essential that all prospective Offerors note the content of this Addendum.

A. Scope of Work Revisions:

Addition of the following language to the end of General Note 1 on Sheet J-1 of the Brown’s Island Bridge Signed Plans: Minimum Clear Width of 18-ft.

B. Question and Answers:

1. Width of Traveled Way:

Plan sheet J-1 shows an out-to-out dimension of 20ft. Specification 00549.03 (c) allows a rail width of up to 1.33ft.

If the structure width is 20ft with rail on each side of 1.33ft this would give a width of traveled way of 17.34ft. We have an engineered bridge system with a traveled way of 17ft.

Would 17ft roadway width be acceptable?

a. A 17-foot clear width will not be wide enough. The minimum clear width is 18-ft.
