About this file
This addendum clarifies the Request for Proposal (RFP) #260000002336 issued by the State of Michigan for drone aerial release spray services in fiscal year 2026. The procurement encompasses treatment services across Western Upper Peninsula locations, including two specifically identified sites: location 12186-DSP26 covering 82.4 acres at coordinates 46.288220, -88.222318, and location 32239-DR26 covering 10.6 acres at coordinates 46.275219, -87.802386. Bidders must submit proposals using the updated RFP document dated 07.27.26, with an extended bid submission deadline of July 29, 2026. The addendum addresses critical operational specifications, including treatment site locations in the Western Upper Peninsula where Schedule A and Schedule B designations remain consistent.
Contractors must use only the approved chemical mixes and formulations specified in RFP Schedule A – Exhibit 2; no alternative chemicals or mixes are permitted. Spray volume per acre is at the contractor's discretion provided it complies with product label requirements and equipment is calibrated to deliver the specified active ingredient rate per acre. Water fill stations for operations are available at three locations: Gaylord Field Office (preferred), Newberry Field Office (preferred), and Iron River area, with Ishpeming identified as the optimal secondary source due to superior water quality and high-capacity hose availability compared to Crystal Falls.
