About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services Division of Engineering and Contract Administration for the CHP Drainage Repair project at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. The ITB includes revisions to the specifications and drawings, as well as answers to questions received from bidders regarding the downspout boot connection, the presence of a ground loop, existing utilities, and requirements for the soil disposal site. The Addendum provides additional details and clarification on these items. A reference drawing is attached to show the revised downspout connection detail.
The Addendum also states that the contractor is responsible for locating existing utilities, and that the Bidding Utility Designer (BUD) will be allowed to visit the site to identify approximate utility locations. The soil disposal site requirements include spreading the soil, seeding with a falcon mix fescue and clover, and no specific erosion protection measures are required.

Questions Received: The following are answers addressing questions received from Bidders to date:

mound, flatten, spread, see/protect, erosion protection)?
a. ANSWER: Spread soil and seed with a falcon mix fescue to include clover to protect from erosion. (25-50 pounds of fescue and 3-5 pounds of clover per acre). It should not require straw or a % success rate.
