About this file
This is Addendum No. One to Request for Bid No. 22-0010 issued by the Columbus Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia, seeking 30' low floor trolley buses for METRA on an as-needed basis. The City anticipates purchasing approximately 0-3 units during Fiscal Year 2022 through Fiscal Year 2025. The addendum addresses clarifications submitted by vendors and modifies the original RFB specifications. Vendors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and include it with their sealed bid submission; failure to do so may render the proposal incomplete.
The addendum clarifies two key technical specifications: first, the City will not accept transit buses with trolley wraps as substitutes for actual trolley buses, and second, manufacturers' standard ISB engines are acceptable alternatives to the originally specified Cummins ISL engine. These responses to vendor inquiries establish the technical requirements that bidders must meet when submitting proposals for this annual contract vehicle procurement.

Vendors are informed that the above subject Request for Bid (RFB) is hereby modified, corrected, or supplemented as specified, described and set forth in this Addendum:
A. City’s response to submitted request for clarification:
Responses to questions are available below.
1. Question: “Would Columbus be in acceptance if we bid a transit bus with a trolley wrap? We represent a company that is a leader in medium and heavy-duty transit buses. Many transit agencies have us install a trolley wrap. Also, there are interior accents that can be installed for a great interior trolley look. Please see attached picture of the exterior of a bus that we installed a trolley wrap on.”
Response: No. A trolley wrap would not be accepted.
2. Question: “Section 5.2.2.1.1 – Engine: Bid states engine shall be Cummins ISL or approved equal. Please accept manufacturer’s standard ISB engine. Please see attached.”
Response: This engine is acceptable.
B. Addendum Acknowledgement
Indicate that your company has received this Addendum in the appropriate areas and include with sealed Bid. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum may render your Proposal “Incomplete”.
