About this file

Addendum No. 2 for the South Fir Street Pedestrian Bridge Improvements project is issued by the Public Works Department of the Town of Telluride, Colorado. The addendum provides critical updates and clarifications for the project, which involves removing and replacing the existing pedestrian bridge decking, handrails, and lighting. Key modifications include specifying that no CDPHE Stormwater Construction Permit is required, revising the crusher fines composition to 25% aggregate base and 75% red crusher fines, and detailing payment terms for the structural steel and utility crossing infrastructure. The project has a final completion date of October 31, 2025, with work to be completed after a single mobilization to minimize impacts to trail and bridge users, and no construction will occur during the Telluride Bluegrass Festival (June 18-20, 2025).

The addendum clarifies several important project details, including bid submission procedures (email to Justin Blair instead of BidNet), utility considerations (811 locate ticket responses are included as Exhibit A), and site access requirements. The staging area will be within the public right-of-way parking area directly north of the bridge, and access to properties on the south side of the river must be maintained at all times. The Town is not aware of any lead paint on the existing bridge structure and notes that repair of concrete spalling on the central pier is not included in the current scope of work but may be considered later depending on budget and needs.
