Addendum No. 2
Invitation for Bid (IFB) 07A5990
Compressor Replacement – Los Angeles County
NOTICE TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
Addendum No. 2 is being issued for the above-referenced IFB. Bids for this work shall be with the full understanding of this Addendum.
The following represents questions submitted for this IFB and the Department’s responses:
Question 1:
Can the elevators be used to take compressors to roof level?
Answer:
No. Contractor shall use a crane to remove compressors from the building, and new compressors shall be set up and installed using a crane.
Question 2:
Can Crane lift all three compressors on to roof on same day and remove all three once all (3) compressors have been installed?
Answer:
Yes.
Question 3:
In the bid doc I did not see any mention of Crane equipment. In the past we have replaced compressors using a crane to lift them to the roof. We have also, through the approval process used the elevator to save on cost. Should we include the cost of the crane first and if approved revise the bid? Apologies I found the statement in the scope of work “a crane must be used”.
Answer:
Refer to IFB, Attachment 4, Proposed Form of Agreement, Exhibit A, for a description of services.
Refer to IFB, Section C, Bid Requirements and Information, item 23, Bid Submittal, for information on bid submission.
Question 4:
Can you please send over the job walk sign-in sheet for the Compressor Replacement project? It is event ID 07A5990.
Answer:
See attached.
