About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Quotation (RFx) issued by the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR). The addendum provides responses to questions raised during the mandatory pre-bid conference held on January 8, 2024, for the contract with RFx number QQ:55429. The scope of work includes site preparation, seeding, and road maintenance for several units ranging from 1 to 10 acres in size, located at varying distances from a nearby pond and road. The addendum extends the solicitation close date to January 15, 2024, at 4:00 PM Eastern. Bidders must acknowledge the addendum by submitting a signed copy with their bid.
The addendum specifies the use of paper-based mulch for hydroseeding and that DWR will provide the native warm-season grass and forb seed mix. It also clarifies that the contractor is responsible for providing all materials and labor to fix any damaged roads, and that a disk or culpacker cannot be used to firm the planting sites due to the presence of rocks on-site. Bidders are advised to consult the provided YouTube videos for instructions on submitting their bids through the eVA platform.
