About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to RFP No. 23-0036 issued by the Columbus Consolidated Government Finance Department Purchasing Division for automated speed detection systems for school zone safety enforcement. The solicitation requests proposals for LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology with ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader) functions designed to integrate with the existing Flock Safety system for the Columbus Police Department. The initial quantity specified is four systems. The original proposal due date was extended to 5:00 PM Eastern on Friday, May 19, 2023, via DemandStar. The addendum clarifies that non-LiDAR detection products, such as radar systems, will not be considered. Installation of equipment must commence within fourteen days of GDOT and Muscogee County permit approval and must be operational and fully functional within thirty days of commencement. The Columbus Consolidated Government was unable to provide an estimated timeline for permit approval at the time of the addendum issuance.

The addendum does not address pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, or funding requirements and sources. Vendors are required to acknowledge receipt of the addendum using the form provided in the solicitation; failure to do so may result in the submittal being deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award consideration. The solicitation establishes that questions must be submitted no later than five days prior to the proposal due date, with responses provided via addendum format.
