The addendum, dated August 6-7, 2024, contains modifications to specifications and drawings that become binding upon the issued contract. Changes span multiple disciplines including site work, architectural elements, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and commissioning requirements. Specific modifications include revisions to aluminum entrance thickness specifications, acoustical panel ceiling design basis, toilet compartment materials, window roller shade installations, electric chain hoist specifications, interior lobby graphics, reception desk materials, HVAC controls allowance adjustments, electrical surge protection requirements, telecommunications cabling color coding, and the addition of comprehensive commissioning specifications for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. The addendum references attached specification sections and drawing revisions that must be incorporated into all bid submissions.
The addendum provides detailed technical specifications for products and materials, including acceptable manufacturers and design bases for various components such as window treatments, cabinet work, and controls systems. Notable changes include an increased HVAC controls allowance of $364,330.00 with sole-source designation to Automated Logic (EMCOR), revisions to telecommunications cabling requiring orange thermoplastic for data cabling and gray thermoplastic for radio communications cabling, and mandatory commissioning procedures requiring contractor cooperation with a designated Commissioning Provider. The document establishes contractor responsibilities for attending commissioning conferences, executing construction checklists, completing functional testing, providing training, and delivering comprehensive closeout documentation including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty information. No pricing, budget totals, or funding source information is provided in the addendum itself, as these elements would be contained in the original RFB documents.
