About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services Division of Engineering and Contract Administration for Heating and Cooling Systems at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky. The addendum includes changes to the bid opening date, updates to the specifications and drawings, and clarifications on requirements such as hot work permits, hazardous materials handling, permits and fees, and refrigerant requirements. It also provides details on the removal and reinstallation of existing equipment, handrails, lighting, fencing, and the need to repair impacted areas to match existing conditions.
The addendum outlines updates to the approved manufacturers list for the packaged dedicated ventilation-air water source heat pump units, including the addition of Aaon and United Cool Air. It also notes that the refrigerant for the outdoor air units is not required to be R-410A, as long as it complies with EPA requirements effective January 1, 2025. The Contractor is responsible for coordinating any electrical changes due to the refrigerant change.
