About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services Division of Engineering and Contract Administration for a Golf Course Bunker Project at the Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park. The Addendum addresses questions received from bidders, including confirmation that existing outfall pipes are assumed to be functional, a desired ASAP start date with a 120-day completion goal, and approved staging and storage areas for construction materials such as the Pro Shop parking lot, picnic shelter area, and maintenance facility. The addendum also confirms that the contractor will be able to dispose of organic materials on site.

The ITB requires bidders to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the Golf Course Bunker Project at the Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park in Burkesville, Kentucky. Bidders are instructed to conform to the changes outlined in this Addendum, which will become binding upon the resulting contract.

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY

DEPARTMENT FOR FACILITIES AND SUPPORT SERVICES

DIVISION OF ENGINEERING AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

INVITATION TO BID NO: RFB-102-25

FOR: Golf Course Bunker Project Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park Department of Parks Burkesville, Kentucky

DATE: November 8, 2024

RFB-785-2500000195

ADDENDUM NO. Two (2)

BIDDER SHALL CONFORM TO THE FOLLOWING CHANGES AS SAME SHALL BECOME BINDING

UPON THE CONTRACT TO BE ISSUED IN RESPONSE TO THIS INVITATION TO BID.

Item 1: Questions/answers:

A Is the contractor to assume that all bunker outfall pipes are functional and not needing replacement? YES. If any crushed or compromised outfall pipes are found outside of the bunker cavity, the Department of Parks will assume responsibility for amending the drainage after that point.

A. B. What is the desired start date range for this project? ASAP, Winter 2024/2025 start date with a 120-day completion goal. Commonwealth reserves the right to extend and adjust scheduling as required by weather and other various overall project and facility requirements.

C. Where can we stage gravel and sand for construction? It appears there is limited access points on course, is the maintenance shop and club house the only access point for sand and gravel? These are the primary access points for gravel/sand deliveries/staging in addition to the picnic shelter area (left turn past the campground road toward the lodge). May it be stored in the maintenance shop parking lot or club house parking lot? Pro Shop Parking Lot can be used for material staging, and the picnic shelter area. Winter is a slower time for golf, but only 1/3 of the Pro Shop Parking lot should be used. Also, the maintenance facility parking lot would be a third possibility but third in preference and only to be used minimally as this is the hub for both golf course maintenance and general park maintenance operations.

D. Where can we store polymer for construction? It needs to be heated indoors; this is typically done in a maintenance shop. The Maintenance Facilities adjacent to the golf course will have ample area provided to store polymer.

E. Will the contractor be able to dispose of organic materials on site? Sand, gravel and grass. Yes, strategic areas will be provided on and adjacent to the golf course.
