About this file

This document is an Addendum (No. 01) issued by the Office of State Procurement for the State of Louisiana, specifically for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Work Boots for the Department of Corrections - Physical Environment (DOC-PE), scheduled to open on October 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The addendum provides clarification through a series of vendor questions and state responses, addressing key details about the procurement opportunity. The boots are intended for the offender population, not employees, and the quantities listed are estimated for annual usage to be ordered as needed.

The most recent prior contract was awarded to Barney's Inc. in May 2022 for $74.23 per pair of boots, with a renewal for the 2023 calendar year. The current bid is open to vendors regardless of location, and no local storefront in Louisiana is required to participate. The state has indicated that the vendor's geographic location will not impact contract eligibility, and interested parties from various locations, including Miami-Dade, can submit bids. The addendum provides transparency about previous contract details and establishes clear parameters for potential bidders.
