About this file

This document is an Addendum to Invitation to Bid No. ITB FFS 24 25 78 for the Myakka State Forest Road Project 15250 ROAD24, issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). The Addendum revises the timeline for this solicitation, including new dates for the last day for written inquiries, anticipated posting of written responses, sealed bids due, public bid opening, and anticipated posting of recommended award. The solicitation seeks to obtain competitive bids for the outright purchase and delivery of approximately 694 loads (21-23 tons each) of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) certified shell road base materials to be delivered to Myakka State Forest in Englewood, Florida.

The Addendum also provides responses to vendor questions regarding load weights, material stockpiling, and delivery site capacities. The materials will be purchased by the load, not by the ton, with the total tonnage estimated to be between 14,574 and 15,692 tons. The contract opportunity is specific to the state of Florida, with the project located in Sarasota County and the Fairview Shores Census Designated Place.
