About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Intercom System issued by the Butts County School System in the state of Georgia. The school district is seeking a modern, IP-based intercom system to enhance communication and security across multiple school facilities. Key requirements include providing accurate room counts, the ability to create unlimited paging zones, integrating with the existing phone system, and supporting emergency communication plans. The district also requires the successful vendor to provide a demonstration of the proposed solution and references for existing installations. Responses to the RFP are part of a "best of three" process, where the top finalists will be selected to submit final bids.

Regarding pricing and implementation, the district requires the successful vendor to be responsible for configuring the existing Extreme network switches to support the new intercom devices. Any existing cabling can be reused where possible, but new plenum-rated cabling will need to be installed. The district will provide maps of the existing intercom device locations. The vendor will be responsible for training the front office staff on the new system.
