About this file
This document is an ADDENDUM ATTACHMENT for the Assateague Bathhouse #9 Roof Replacement project in Assateague State Park, Maryland. The addendum provides answers to several questions from potential bidders, including the acceptance of alternate roof membrane products, the project timeline with a goal of completion by April 24, 2024, and the ability to work 7 days a week from 7am to 5pm. The project scope includes inspection and repair of all rotted, soft, and split areas of the existing roof structure prior to the application of a new roof membrane, which can be installed with horizontal seams if preferred. There are no roof plans available, but the bathhouse is the 9th of 9 similar buildings in the state park campground.
The contract opportunity is for the Worcester County, Maryland jurisdiction. The project requires the replacement of the roof on Bathhouse #9 at Assateague State Park. Interested contractors must comply with the project specifications, which may include pricing, set-asides, and other contractual requirements. Funding sources and amounts are not specified in the addendum.

Question: What was the material used prior to the current membrane?
Answer: It was rolled asphalt.

Answer: Yes, that is our preference
Question: Does the project include fixing all damaged areas?

The Bathhouse can be located on the map if you look at Assateague State Park, it is the furthest building to the south within the state park and sits just above the boundary line to the National Seashore. There are 9 bathhouse buildings in the campground (that all look the same), the building for the project is the 9th one.
