About this file
This document is Addendum 4 for a portable radio contract opportunity for the state of South Dakota, specifically focused on updating and expanding line items for Bendix King radio equipment. The addendum modifies existing line items and adds several new product line items, including multiple portable and mobile radio models, antennas, battery packs, remote speaker/microphones, and related accessories. The changes involve replacing some existing line items with updated specifications and adding new product variations to the contract, such as different frequency bands, battery configurations, and radio models with specific features like integrated GPS, encryption capabilities, and varying power outputs.
The addendum introduces detailed specifications for brand-specific Bendix King equipment, including portable radios with VHF frequencies (136-174 MHz), mobile radios with P25 digital/analog capabilities, ultra-high capacity battery packs, dual battery chargers, and specialized accessories like heavy-duty remote speaker/microphones. The modifications appear to enhance the existing contract's product offerings, providing more comprehensive options for radio equipment that can be used in various professional settings, particularly for wildland fire communications. The changes suggest a strategic effort to provide more flexible and technologically advanced radio communication solutions for state emergency and communication needs.
