About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 2 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for the Everett Facility Compressor Supply and Installation project. The RFP (No. 132-25) with COMMBUYS Bid BD-26-1206-40000-40000-119610 seeks rotary screw air compressors for the facility, with specific requirements for air-cooled, oil-injected compressors. The addendum modifies the original specification, adjusting the compressor capacity requirements from a combined 6,400 SCFM at 125 PSIG to a minimum of 600-700 CFM to serve four Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) machines, each requiring 120 CFM at 100 PSIG.

The addendum maintains all other terms and conditions of the original solicitation unchanged, indicating that the core procurement parameters remain consistent. The document is dated 21 August 2025 and was issued by Amy Reinforhart, Strategic Sourcing Manager, suggesting an upcoming procurement process for specialized industrial equipment at the MBTA's Everett Facility. No specific pricing, funding sources, or contract term details are provided in this addendum, which is focused solely on clarifying the technical specifications for the air compressor equipment.
