About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Solicitation No. FWC 24/25-90C for Klondike Archery Park Foundation Repairs. The addendum, dated May 7, 2025, provides clarifications and answers to potential bidders' questions regarding the project. Key details include that all bid responses must be received by 3:00 PM (ET) on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, and any responses received after the specified time will not be considered.

The addendum addresses four specific questions from potential contractors, including clarifications about third-party testing (not required), bonding requirements (no bond needed since the project is under $100,000), geotechnical testing (contractors must conduct their own testing if needed), and interior finish responsibilities (interior finish repairs are not included in this project). The document indicates the project involves foundation repairs, with an understanding that contractors will be responsible for their own risk assessment and testing prior to beginning work. No additional funding, set-asides, or specific pricing terms are detailed in this addendum beyond the previously established project parameters.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2

BEGIN ADDENDUM

QUESTION #1

Will you be requesting load testing for the helical piers, and will there be a third-party monitoring

ANSWER #1

Third-party testing will not be required.

QUESTION #2

SINCE THIS PROJECT WILL BE UNDER 100,000, WILL THERE BE A

REQUIREMENT FOR A BOND FOR THE PROJECT, AND IF SO, WHAT WILL THE

REQUIRMENTS BE?

ANSWER #2

No bond is required since the project is below $100,000.

QUESTION #3

Ray had found out that the building may have been constructed on a prior land fill with matting. We are not comfortable in performing this work without a geo test to be completed prior to the project start date as this will allow us to understand potential issues below ground level. We will require a geo report prior to starting the project to be paid for and provided by FWC.

ANSWER #3

Geo testing will not be performed by FWC. Contractors should conduct their own testing if required.

QUESTION #4

We will not be responsible for any of the interior finishes of the project as will be called out in our proposal. We want to confirm that FWC will be responsible for ensuring any interior finishes, i.e. flooring, painting, drywall, is to be cared for by another contractor.

ANSWER #4

It is understood that interior finish repairs are not included in this project.
