About this file

This document is an Addendum (#2) issued by Deming Public Schools for RFP #22-16 for Vending Machine Services in New Mexico. The addendum specifically addresses general conditions related to the procurement process, with a focus on providing clarification about resident business and veteran preference mechanisms for bidding.

The addendum highlights a critical procurement detail regarding New Mexico state business preferences: an 8% preference will be given to in-state or Native American resident businesses, and a 10% preference will be extended to resident veterans or Native American resident veterans. To qualify for these preferences, bidders must possess a valid resident business certification from the State of New Mexico and submit a copy of this certificate with their bid. The document explicitly recommends that potential bidders contact the New Mexico State Department of Taxation and Revenue at 505-827-0951 to obtain or verify their resident business certification, noting that this certification could potentially reduce the evaluated bid amount by 5-10%, which could significantly impact contract award considerations.

Addendum # 2

RFP # 22-16 Vending Machine Services

General Conditions (Correction)

8. An 8% in-state resident or Native American resident preference will be given to all resident New Mexico businesses that have been issued certification by the State of New Mexico. A 10% resident veteran or Native

American resident veteran preference will be given to all resident New Mexico businesses that have been issued certification by the State of New Mexico. To qualify for the preference, the bidder must list a valid resident business certificate number and shall submit a copy of the certificate with the bid. If you have a question regarding a Resident Business (or Resident Veteran Business or Native American resident/veteran)

Certification, or wish to be given a number, you may contact the New Mexico State Department of Taxation and Revenue at 505-827-0951. This number is valuable to have as it allows the Schools to consider your bid at five to ten percent less than the amount submitted, and could mean a difference in award. Please note that this number is NOT your State CRS Number (i.e. 01-503047-004).
