About this file
This document is an addendum issued by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) for the Grease Interceptor Relocation Project RFP GWCCA091923EC. The addendum extends the proposal due date to October 26, 2023 and provides clarification on several project details, including the requirement for an outside grease interceptor drop, the allowable work schedule, the use of PVC pipe, and confirmation that diesel equipment will be permitted on-site. The addendum also states that the project requires bonding and specifies the required grease interceptor to be a precast concrete trap certified to ASTM C913.
The addendum does not provide an engineering estimate or budget for the project. It indicates that there are no restrictions on work hours or dates, aside from the available schedule windows provided. Additionally, the addendum confirms that a full-time dedicated safety representative is not required on-site, but the contractor must maintain a safe jobsite at all times.

The proposal due date has been extended to October 26th, 2023.
Page C4-50 in the profile view calls for an outside drop, the elevation shown for tie in does not represent the same information. Will an outside drop be required? If so can that elevation. Be provided? Refer to revised C4-50.
When is the work anticipated to start? We have the following currently showing available in our schedule November 5-8, November 20-28, December 3-10, December19-27
Are there any work hours or date restrictions? No hours see above dates.
Will the forklift travel way between the dock doors and the engineers shop need to remain open while overhead pipe is relocated? The section of service drive can be closed for overhead work.
Is there an engineering estimate/ budget for this project? No
Would 6” PVC pipe be considered for any of the interior or exterior work? GWCC FM has no objections to schedule 80 pvc for the underground exterior work.
Page P-001 calls out cast iron pipe in the plumbing notes while the drawing notes refer to DIP. Which is correct? The piping shall transition from cast iron to ductile iron at approximately a foot above the slab before the piping becomes concealed.
Will diesel equipment be allowed to work within the work area inside the building? Yes
Is a full time dedicated safety representative required to be onsite while working? No, the contractor must maintain a safe jobsite at all times to include proper barricades for open ditch lines and manholes.
Are there any badging or safety class requirements for workers to attend prior to working on site? No
Is this project to be bonded? Yes
Is there a product specification for the grease interceptor? Provide a precast concrete trap certified to ASTM C913. Refer to the civil drawings for other installation requirements such as traffic loading.
