About this file

This is Addendum 2 to a solicitation involving the purchase of 3D printers and related equipment for ACC (likely a state or local government agency). The primary products requested include multiple 3D printer units, each requiring a minimum one-year warranty. Additionally, the solicitation seeks five dual extruder v2 accessories to accompany each printer, with an extended one-year warranty on these accessories. The addendum clarifies warranty coverage and addresses vendor questions regarding whether warranty services fall under the "Insurance Requirement" section of the original solicitation documents.

The vendor's response confirms that all printers include a standard one-year warranty covering the single extruder tool head included with purchase. However, accessory tool heads such as the TAZ Dual Extruder v2 come with only a 30-day warranty as standard. The vendor has offered as a one-time courtesy to ACC the option to purchase extended one-year warranties on the dual extruders included in the solicitation to align with the buyer's requirements. The addendum serves to clarify warranty terms and ensure consistency between the solicitation's background section, product specifications, and the vendor's quote response sheet regarding the inclusion and coverage of extended warranties on all equipment.

Addendum 2

Here is my response to their questions:

First, do the included warranties, as well as requested extended warranties, fall into service with specific regards to the "Insurance Requirement" section? Also, with regards to warranties, the "Background" sections states that "seeking to purchase....and (5) One-Year Extended Warranty.", however, I do not see these 5 Extended Warranties listed in the "Products/Specifications" or on the Quote Response Sheet for the solicitation. Was this an oversight, or meant to be included in the response with the printer?

I’m a little confused about the question, but here is why the warranty is included in the description. This was included in the description to ensure any vendor who applied for this bid could guarantee a minimum 1-year warranty for each machine.

Last, the solicitation Response Sheet reflects that a 1 year Warranty is expected for each machine. We do include a Standard 1 year Warranty with the purchase of each printer, to include the Single Extruder Tool Head that comes standard on each printer; however, all accessory tool heads such as TAZ Dual Extruder v2 come with a 30 day warranty included. We could offer as a one-time company courtesy to ACC the purchase of one year extended warranties on the Dual Extruder's included on this solicitation.

I’m a little confused about the question, but here is my response. We would like the bid to include an additional (5) dual extruder v2. Giving us the tool to use with each machine. An extended 1-year warranty would be great.
