About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for Solicitation Number 80-BRCC202406, a state and local contract opportunity issued by Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) in North Carolina for the replacement of a chiller at the Henderson building on their campus. The addendum provides responses to questions regarding the project, including the need to reinsulate exterior piping with new heat trace, the ability to locate emergency taps on the exterior of the building, and the contractor's responsibility to test and determine the existing percentage and volume of glycol in the current system. The addendum also introduces five alternates for the project, including a temporary chiller, installation of emergency taps, one-time chemical treatment, performance and payment bond, and the provision and installation of a chemical pot on the chilled water system.

The contract will be awarded based on the base bid, which requires the contractor to provide a breakdown of material and labor costs. The addendum also includes instructions for acknowledging receipt of the addendum and incorporating any changes into the bid response.
