About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget for the Green Oaks Training Center (GTC) Facility Equipment Storage Building, with project file number 472/26360.KMM. The project requires design and construction of a wood-framed pole barn with metal exterior similar to a pre-engineered Morton building to serve as equipment and vehicle storage at a corrections facility. The facility must accommodate 10 tons of loose salt storage and include soil boring and geotechnical analysis as part of the scope. The building's placement on the site is the responsibility of the selected professional services contractor (PSC), with administration preferring the southeast corner location as discussed during the pre-bid walkthrough. The proposal due date is September 3, 2026, and the anticipated construction duration is 180 calendar days. Existing site drawings will be provided to the awarded contractor.

The construction budget for this project is $400,000. All personnel working on the project must obtain MDOC (Michigan Department of Corrections) LEIN clearance and comply with MDOC policies and standards. The project does not require planning approval from Green Oak Township or its board of trustees, does not include parking areas or vehicle repair services, and does not require continuous construction observation. Plumbing utilities, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and natural gas are available at the site. The project must conform to applicable building codes and MDOC standards specific to correctional facility requirements. One GPR survey is to be included in the bid. Bidders must include all necessary security and compliance measures associated with working at a corrections facility.
