It also specifies that bidders should cut in around all metal signs on the walls.

ADDENDUM II

DATE: May 8, 2024

TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

FROM: Samantha Murray, Senior Buyer

RE: ADDENDUM II, BID #25005 Painting ACCGov College Avenue Parking

Deck

Pursuant to RFP 25005 the following information is provided:

QUESTION 1: What is to be done with the stairwell with the Exterior Insulation Finish System?

Should we wash and paint the exterior and interior?

ANSWER 1: You will need to pressure wash the interior concrete of both stairwells and paint all painted surfaces, including the metal handrails. You will not pressure wash or paint the exterior stucco of the College Avenue Parking Deck stairwell that faces College Ave.

QUESTION 2: Are we to paint the interior and exterior of the storefront systems?

ANSWER 2: Yes, all metal surfaces will be repainted.

QUESTION 3: Under Concrete/cement specifications in the provided bid document, you have requested Caulk: Loxon S1 One Component Smooth Polyurethane Sealant smooth white for use in caulking masonry joints and cracks. Are we to re-seal all of the joints including concrete floors, and joints on concrete floors and support columns on the interior of the parking deck, and around stairwells, as well as sealants present in the pierced opening/face brick holes? Or do we need to remove and install caulking on masonry joints where it meets with brick?

ANSWER 3: Only replace what is not attached. It must match the existing caulk color. Do not cut out all the caulk, just what is not adhered to.

QUESTION 4: Can you provide the sign-in sheet?

ANSWER 4: Yes, the sign-in sheet will be included at the end of this addendum.

QUESTION 5: Please clarify with dates the time we will have to work on this project and complete by.

ANSWER 5: As stated at the pre-bid meeting, this work cannot begin until UGA is out of school for the summer. All work must be completed prior to UGA starting back to school in the fall or the first home UGA football game; whichever comes first.

QUESTION 6: Who removes the metal signage plates at different areas on the wall, or paint around them?

ANSWER 6: As stated at the pre-bid meeting, you will cut in around all METAL signs.
