About this file
This is Addendum #2 for IFB #15-64170 issued by the Department of State Hospitals - Coalinga for Public Pay Telephone Maintenance and Services. The addendum updates contractor responsibilities regarding phone services for an estimated 128 patient outgoing phones and 128 incoming phone lines. The contract term was changed from 5/9/16-8/31/16 to 5/20/16-10/31/16. The facility has approximately 261 total phones, with most units having 4 incoming and 4 outgoing lines, except for four units that have only 1 line each. The facility provides V-Tec Cordless phones with charging stations, with the contractor only needing to provide phone lines.
The current vendor is Pacific Telemanagement Systems, which owns 5 pay phones at the facility. Current contract costs are $40 per line for outgoing phone lines, $50 per line for incoming phone lines, and $75 per line for pay phone lines. The facility indicates they are planning to transition to CalNet3 for phones after the 10/31/16 contract period. The addendum clarifies that phones cannot be hooked up to the hospital's centrex/centranet system and that single phones cannot be used for both incoming and outgoing calls - separate phones are required.
